Mentoring

At Vallit Advisors, our Mentorship Program encourages new members of the firm to become easily integrated into the firm’s practice areas with support for their personal and career development. Professional Designations

Our firm encourages and assists with the studying and completion of various professional designations including:

The the CPA designation is given to licensed accounting professionals who offer clients and investors informed consulting on financial health matters, while protecting public interest.  Vallit team members who are licensed CPAs are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and their respective state CPA societies.  In addition, Vallit team members have and continue to hold leadership positions in state CPA societies.

The American Society of Appraisers the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) credential.  An appraiser who acquires ASA credential is considered to have the highest level of education as a business valuation professional.

Governed by the AICPA and granted exclusively through the organization, the ABV designation is earned by an accounting professional who passes the necessary examinations to be considered a specialist in business valuation.

The CFF credential is also exclusively granted by the AICPA and is granted to candidates who pass the appropriate examinations to become forensic accounting professionals.

The CFA designation can be achieved through a program offered through the CFA Institute. Investment and financial professionals can pursue this credential to further their knowledge of finance and achieve advanced global legal and financial knowledge.

Governed by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), the CVA designation is the most widely recognized business valuation credential. It is also the only credential recognized by the NCCA® and the ANSI®.

Unlike most financial litigation training that tends to be general in scope, MAFF focuses on methodologies and approaches for calculating damages, financial investigative and forensic accounting techniques, skills development for communicating with judges, attorneys, and juries, and practice building strategies that are being employed by successful and emerging financial forensics analysts. NACVA’s Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF) designation is the only financial forensics credential accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies® (NCCA®).

Professional Development Committee

In addition to formal external training, Vallit has established procedures and regularly creates technically sound and proficient educational courses and programs that enhance employees’ professional knowledge through technical information exchange. We regularly identify skills gaps and promote continuous learning and the professional development of the team in a controlled environment. Our Professional Development Committee identifies and develops courses that would be beneficial to the staff and to the firm.

In order to promote our firm culture vision, Vallit has implemented 360-degree feedback reviews. This helps build an open, value-oriented feedback culture in our company. These also help to measure the pulse of the company culture with engagement surveys for informative actions for improvement. We make sure our surveys are anonymous and we utilize this information to create action items on the issues that are important to our staff.

Internships

At Vallit Advisors, we regularly employ young professionals to complete summer, winter, and year-round internships in business valuation, forensic accounting, and dispute resolution. Our goal is to introduce between two and four interns a year to our practices at Vallit and assist them in their professional growth and development. Our internships are accommodating to class schedules and offer flexible availability for both in-person and virtual work. 

The internship program we offer gives young professionals practical experience in the business valuation, forensic accounting, and dispute resolution that our firm’s professionals provide to clients on a daily basis. This hands-on experience will help interested students develop their communication and interpersonal skills as well as strengthen their knowledge of the industry at large.

At Vallit, we value our responsibility as mentors and educators to the next generation of finance and valuation professionals and make a commitment to offering learning opportunities that may even turn into employment opportunities down the road. By providing mentorship to young accounting and finance professionals, we are able to introduce interested college students to the world of business valuation and accounting that will exponentially increase their knowledge of the service areas and their opportunities for employment after graduation.
